According to PlayNow, a lottery player who has yet to be named has won CA$50 million through the activation of a Lotto 6/49 prize in the most recent draw. The ticket, however, matches the winning digits for the Gold Ball jackpot. Players are advised to check their tickets carefully in order to claim the prize sum.
The Lotto 6/49 draw-based game takes place twice a week in Canada. From the middle of September 2022 forward, the offer will take the form of a new format, with two large jackpots awarded with each round. They are the CA$50 million Classic Jackpot and the CA$60 million Gold Ball Jackpot.
According to the PlayNow platform, the winner was a player from the western provinces who held the Gold Ball ticket number 25957733-01 from the lottery 6/49 draw. Due to the substantial value of the prize, measures are being taken to ensure the winner’s identity remains secure.
The last time there was a winner of the prime prize, it was via the draw in September. An Ontario-based player took CA$68 million. Till now, there have been no claimants to the CA$1 million White Ball Prize, as well as the CA$5 million Classic Draw prize and the CA$500,000 Classic Draw Extra.
As per the online gaming news, there were two claimants for the Classic Draw’s second prize. They will each receive CA$109,347.90. They belonged to the provinces of Ontario and Quebec. The Gold Ball draw will once again start at CA$10 million.
Following the release of the fresh Lotto 6/49, players waited for an initial winner. It was Jean-Marc Poirier who turned out to be the initial winner in the Gold Ball draw and walked off with CA$36 million.
Towards the beginning of 2023, three winners from Ontario came in for lucrative prizes. As per the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation, two winners will split a CA$5,000,000 jackpot, and another two winners will get CA$2.5 million.
Debra and Kenneth Skitch of Bowmanville were the proud owners of the first winning ticket, while Shane King of New Tecumseh claimed the other half of the jackpot.
