French Open betting tips: Andreescu vs Sorribes Tormo – Bet on the Canadian underdog

A Canadian tennis player, Bianca Andreescu, to be part of the French Open on Monday, geared up to impact the tennis platform again. This much-anticipated match will be one of the first times tennis lovers will see her in action since August last year. Her simple return promises to bring the best out of her, especially when she is up against Sara Sorribes Tormo, who has considerable experience and excels on clay. Apart from the battle of endurance of Andreescu physically, this match up testifies to her mental strength and determination.

In August 2023, after entering the National Bank Open because of the wildcard, Bianca Andreescu lost the last competitive match to Camila Giorgi. This was especially so when she was out of action for nine months due to a back injury, raising questions about her current form. Throughout her career, Andreescu has enjoyed playing on clay with a record of 25-13 on this surface. Her previous best showing at the French Open was in the third round last year. However, her performances could have been more encouraging in the recent past; she has won two and lost three of her matches on clay courts in the last year.

On the flip side, Sorribes Tormo has excellent experience, and she knows how to play on clay courts better. She demonstrably possesses a winning record on this surface, with 196 wins and 108 losses in her career. Though she had not been in her best form in the previous season, with a win-loss record of 10-13, her record on the clay court is 8-5.

But in recent games, she has yet to be in pole position as she used to be in the previous games. She has only been able to score five or more games in one of her last five clay-court games; hence has not been able to record overwhelming victories.

Based on the latest betting odds for the next match of the French Open, the much-awaited clash between Andreescu and Sorribes Tormo will be a close fight. To add to that, the probability of the game lasting within a four-point difference seems likely to move in favor of Andreescu. 5 points, assuming she can make a “comeback” after a lengthy spell on the sidelines due to an injury.

Especially noteworthy is the fact that Andreescu came out the winner in their previous meeting at the Miami Open this year, which puts an exciting spin on the rivalry and may actually suggest that Sorribes Tormo could be getting the better end of the deal here.

While Andreescu steps back onto the clay of Roland Garros, her comeback to tennis is not just about statistics and records but about the desire to play and fight against adversity. This match will be exciting and tense since both players are exceptional in serving and will try to clinch the trophy.

It seems that the next match is quite significant, and tennis fans worldwide are wondering whether or not Andreescu will be able to perform as she did before on one of the biggest stages in tennis. As the competition approaches the final stage, all the anticipation will be directed to these two talented performers. Everyone will wait to see who will rise to the occasion and qualify for the next round of this prestigious cup.
