Argentina starts the tournament on a high note having qualified to the finals of the 2021 Copa America and the 2022 World Cup. On the other hand, Canada has been drawn in a very difficult group especially considering this is the first time they will be featuring in Copa America.

Argentina vs Canada Analysis

Argentina

Argentina is very balanced, but their attack makes them stand out this summer. Lionel Messi is playing well in MLS and Angel Di Maria is scoring and creating goals for La Albiceleste. Julian Alvarez, although not very effective in the last matches, is recognized for his good results in important competitions.

Prediction of Argentina and Canada Football Match

As expected, there is notlittle contention as to the result of this match. The Argentina team is among the favourites for the 2024 Copa America, while the Canada team is among the weakest in the tournament.

As for the attacking players, Canada has such talents as Jonathan David, Alphonso Davies, and Tajon Buchanan. Still, against a side like Argentina, Canada’s main players will not have many opportunities to shine as Argentina is predicted to control the ball most of the time.

Argentina has a good frontline comprising Messi, Di Maria, Lautaro Martinez, and Alvarez. Their defence is also very strong; they have Lisandro Martinez and Nicolas Otamendi, who are very reliable at the back. However, Canada has a different talent and experienced players than in the case of the American defense.

Argentina vs Canada Best Bet

Like other Ontario sportsbooks, including Sports Interaction, do not think that Canada will get a goal past Emi Martinez. Canada did not manage to get a goal in their last two friendly matches, and Argentina has been really tough to crack in the recent games. Since the World Cup final, in their last 14 games, Argentina has let in only two goals, one of them an own goal by Guatemala. Canada is not expected to end this streak so, BTTS – No at -167 odds is a good bet.
