Ontario welcomed a new addition as Wazdan received the official nod from Ontario’s Alcohol and Gambling Commission. The gaming content provider is eyeing the local casino operators in its 20th regulated gambling market. Since Canada launched iGaming and interactive sports for the private sectors in April, this will be a timely opportunity for Wazdan to expand its business.
On April 4, Ontario opened the gates for private gambling and betting operators just as the regime changed. The AGCO has allowed 20 online sportsbooks and several other casino operators to establish their business in the second largest province in Canada. Since then, the number has only increased in the last month as more companies are eagerly joining this thriving market.
Newly joining the list is Wazdan, an industry-leading gaming content provider that operates in 20 regulated markets, including Ontario. The content provider is already operating successfully in several American states like Michigan, West Virginia, and New Jersey. Furthermore, the company is shortlisted for honors like the EGR B2B Awards and the Baltic and Scandinavian Gaming Awards.
The news about Wazdan securing an AGCO license for the Ontario market was shared on May 10. With this approval, the content provider can sign partnerships with other AGCO-approved operators to provide top-end products. However, the company is hopeful to support more local operators in the province of Ontario.
The Canadian government’s decision to end the monopoly on lottery and gaming and let private operators in will help Wazdan strengthen its foothold further in the North American region.
Wazdan CEO Michal Imiolek expressed his delight in extending further into the North American territories with the new license. He further hopes to have a massive impact on the operator with their exciting products. The company’s portfolio contains some famous names like Dwarf’s Fortune, sizzling Moon, Sun of Fortune, 9 Lions, and more.
Furthermore, Wazdan is actively working toward expanding its portfolio further. The company’s latest release, Hot Slot 777 Crown, was met with a massive success among casino operators and is likely to be introduced in Ontario. The content provider also signed a partnership with Scientific Games Corporation at the beginning of the year with hopes of finding new markets.
It was only a few weeks ago that Wazdan received its Michigan license. Moreover, the company did not waste any time after that to get the green signal from Ontario.
